Thaksin denies courting separatists

HONG KONG : Ousted prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has vehemently denied the Democrat Party's accusation that he held secret talks with southern rebel leaders.

"I have never talked with [rebel leaders]. I don't have the status to do so. I'm just an unemployed man," Thaksin said in an exclusive interview with Bangkok Post yesterday.

Democrat MP for Songkhla Thaworn Senneam said in parliament on Thursday that Thaksin met 18 rebel representatives in a neighbouring country recently.

Joke? Ha. The sad thing is my Wife and many of her friends in the North "love him" as he handed out "free" cell phones in the villages of the North. (this is common business practice in the West as they make the money from the exorbitant price for a small top up that only lasts 3 days in Thailand).
But the real sad thing is My Wife's Son was one of the 2,500 killed in the 1st 3 days of Thaksin's war on drugs. But don't forget he gave her a phone. The loss of a Son does not seem to count. Work that logic out!

I think Thaksin was and still is the ultimate tool of the separatists. His initial blunders played right into their hands by allowing them to reestablish a foothold in the Deep South, gain ground, and finally taking over this sensitive region. How miscalculated and stupid can one be?

What a slime ball he is. A poor unemployed man who can talk to his buddy the PM of Cambodia and talk to Japanese business men about the flooding damages and countless other meddling he has done to undermine not only his sister's puppet reign but the country as a whole BUT he cannot do something which he might be able to help the country with. I doubt very much he could offer up anything to help but saying he cannot because he is just an unemployed man is not only laughable but a lie.
It really makes me laugh that the Reds have adopted Che Guevara as their icon .. having grown up in Che's era .. Thaskin would have been one of the first people Che would have executed because of his crimes against the people by ripping them off for billions.

D20 : As you've said..."The DEMS are happy to be tools of these movements". This made me curious as to how and where you got this quite interesting information. If it turns out to be just a personal belief of yours,then perhaps you would be better off keeping it to yourself as it is obviously a very serious accusation against the DEMS and could possibly end up as a court case.
This forum is not the red stage at Rachaprasong anno 2010,commentors are expected to back up their claims. I believe the courts have similar expectations. Hence my question.
So please enlighten us as to how and where you got this information,that the DEMS are tools of the insurgency movements and drug traders and that they are happy in that position. Thank you.

One minute, he is unemployed, another minute, he acts in full as prime minister, economist, and saviour of Thailand.

He will pick his position that suits his argument. The most shifty person I have ever had the chance to know.
